Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains which personal data we process when you visit gobrrr.me or place an order with us, why we do so, and what rights you have.

2. The short version

We use no analytics, tracking or advertising tools and do not build user profiles.
Our website loads nothing from third-party servers: no external fonts, no social media plugins, no embedded videos, no ad networks. The only exception is the cart and checkout, where we include PayPal (see section 6).
We only use strictly necessary cookies, and only once you add something to your cart or arrive through a partner’s link with a discount code.
You can only order as a guest. There are no customer accounts.
We do not sell or rent your data and only pass it on where your order requires it or the law demands it.

3. Visiting the website and server log files

Whenever you open our website, our web server automatically stores technical data in log files: IP address, date and time, requested address, amount of data transferred, HTTP status code, the previously visited page (referrer), and browser and operating system (user agent).

We need this data to deliver the website, find errors and fend off attacks. To protect against attacks, IP addresses that repeatedly cause failed login attempts or similar attack patterns are automatically blocked for a short time.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log files are deleted automatically after 14 days at the latest. We do not analyse them for statistics or marketing.

4. Cookies and local browser storage

We only use cookies that are strictly necessary to run the shop. As soon as you add a product to your cart or arrive through a partner link with a discount code (see section 10), our shop system (WooCommerce) sets these cookies:

wp_woocommerce_session_*: links your cart to you, kept for up to 2 days
woocommerce_items_in_cart and woocommerce_cart_hash: remember whether and what is in your cart, deleted when you close the browser

Our website also keeps a few settings only in your own browser (local storage), for example whether you chose light or dark mode and which products are on your wishlist. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to us. You can delete it at any time in your browser settings.

Because these cookies and storage entries are strictly necessary to provide the service you explicitly requested, no consent is needed (§ 165(3) Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021). The legal basis for the related processing is Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR. We set no tracking or advertising cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner. On the cart and checkout, PayPal may set its own cookies on its domains (see section 6).

5. Orders

When you order from us, we process the data you enter in the checkout form: name, billing and shipping address, email address, and where applicable phone number, company name and VAT ID, as well as the products ordered, prices, and the payment and shipping method you chose.

We use this data to perform the contract: order confirmation, invoice, shipping, questions, warranty and withdrawal. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Required fields are marked as such; without them we cannot process your order.

To charge the correct VAT within the EU single market, we must document your country of residence. For this purpose we also store, with each order, the country derived from your IP address. The lookup happens locally on our server without contacting any third party. If you enter a VAT ID, we verify it through the European Commission’s VAT Information Exchange System (VIES). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR together with the applicable VAT rules.

6. Payment

Depending on the payment method you choose, we pass on the data needed for payment:

Bitcoin (BTCPay Server): Payment is processed through a BTCPay Server that we operate ourselves. Only order number and amount are processed; your email address is not transmitted, and no third party is involved. Please note that Bitcoin transactions are stored permanently and publicly on the blockchain; neither you nor we can change that.
PayPal: So that you can pay with PayPal, credit card or local payment methods such as EPS or Trustly directly in the checkout, your browser loads program code and images from servers of PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg on the cart and checkout pages. This happens as soon as you open these pages, even if you then choose another payment method. PayPal receives your IP address and technical information about your browser and device. PayPal also uses this information for fraud prevention and its own statistics and may set cookies on its own domains for this. Nothing from PayPal is loaded on any other page of our shop. If we offer Google Pay in the checkout, your browser additionally loads program code from Google (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). If you pay with PayPal, we transmit the necessary order data such as order number and amount; the payment itself, including login and entering your payment details, runs directly through PayPal. PayPal is itself responsible for this; its privacy policy applies. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, and for fraud prevention our legitimate interest in secure payments (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. We never see or store credit card or bank account details.

7. Shipping

For delivery, we pass your name and shipping address to the carrier you chose:

We also pass your email address to UPS so UPS can notify you about the delivery. We only pass your email address to Österreichische Post if customs documents are required for the shipment. For shipments outside the EU, customs authorities also receive the details required for the customs declaration. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

8. Email and contact form

If you write to us by email or through the contact form, we process your details (name, email address, message and any attachments) to answer your request. Contact form messages are not stored in the website’s database; they are only delivered to us by email. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where a contract is concerned, otherwise our legitimate interest in replying (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Website emails (for example order confirmations) are sent directly from our own mailbox, without any external sending service. The contact form is protected by spam protection that runs entirely on our own server.

9. 3D print quote calculator

When you upload a file to the 3D print quote calculator, your browser sends the file to our own calculation server (slicequote3d.druckhochdrei.com), which determines material, print time and price. For technical reasons your IP address is transmitted as well. This server is also operated by Druck Hoch Drei e.U. Uploaded files are deleted after the calculation. Only if you order the print do we keep the file so we can print it; it is then handled like the rest of your order data. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual steps at your request).

10. Partner programme

Partners can recommend our shop with their own discount code.

As a visitor: If you arrive through a partner’s link (for example gobrrr.me/?coupon=CODE), we store the discount code in your cart session and apply it automatically. For this, WooCommerce sets the session cookie described in section 4 as soon as you open the link; no other cookies are set. To settle accounts with the partner, we count the click and store the discount code, date and time, the domain of the referring website and a random identifier, but no IP address. If the code is used in an order, the partner earns a commission. We do not pass your name or address on to partners. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for applying the discount and our legitimate interest in settling accounts with our partners (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for counting clicks.

As a partner: If you become a partner, we process your details (name, email address and your information on where and how you want to recommend us). To record commissions, we create an internal partner account that only we can access. With it we store the orders placed with your code, your commissions and the details you provide for payouts. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. We keep this data for the duration of the partnership; accounting records are kept for 7 years (§ 132 Austrian Federal Fiscal Code).

11. Hosting

Our website runs on a server provided by [[HOSTING PROVIDER, ADDRESS, server location]]. The provider processes data solely on our behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

12. Bitcoin status bar

The Bitcoin data in the bar at the top of the page (block height, hashrate, fees, price) is fetched regularly from mempool.space by our server. Your browser never contacts mempool.space, and no data about you is transmitted.

13. Retention periods

Server log files: 14 days
Cart cookies: up to 2 days or until you close the browser
Partner link clicks and partner data: for the duration of the partnership
Order data in the shop system: we remove completed orders from the web server at regular intervals
Invoices and tax records: 7 years from the end of the calendar year (§ 132 Austrian Federal Fiscal Code), stored offline
Email enquiries: as long as needed to handle them; for contract-related correspondence until warranty and limitation periods have expired

14. Transfers to third countries

We ourselves only transfer data to countries outside the EU and EEA if you order a delivery there; in that case the transfer to the carrier and customs authorities is necessary to perform the contract (Art. 49(1)(b) GDPR). Payment providers such as PayPal may transfer data to third countries under their own responsibility.

15. Your rights

You have the right at any time to:

access the data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), unless a legal retention obligation applies
restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
object to processing based on our legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR)

A short email to info@gobrrr.me is enough. We reply within one month. Access requests are free of charge.

If you believe we are not processing your data lawfully, you can lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Austria this is the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Vienna, dsb@dsb.gv.at, www.dsb.gv.at.

16. No automated decisions

We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing and do not create profiles (Art. 22 GDPR).

17. Changes

We update this privacy policy when our shop or the law changes. The version published on this page applies.
