Additional Information
The HP DPS-1200FB-1 A is a 1200W Common Slot server power supply originally designed for HP ProLiant servers. Rated 80 PLUS Platinum at 94% efficiency, it delivers clean, stable 12V DC output and is built to run at full load around the clock, making it a proven choice for Bitcoin mining and bench power setups. Unlike consumer ATX power supplies, server PSUs like the DPS-1200FB-1 A are engineered for continuous 24/7 operation under heavy load. That reliability is exactly why they’ve become the go-to power source in the mining community.
This PSU is tested and fully compatible with our PSUBB & PSUBB pruned-v1 breakout boards. Pair it with either board for a clean, organized 12V power distribution setup. Output depends on input voltage: at 200-240V you get the full 1200W (12V at 100A), at 110-120V it delivers 900W (75A), and at 100V it provides 800W (66.7A). A 12V standby rail rated at 2.5A is also available.

How many miners can I run?
That depends on your input voltage. At 200-240V (standard in most of Europe), the PSU delivers the full 1200W, which is 100A at 12V. At 110-120V, you get 900W (75A). To stay on the safe side, always calculate with a 20% safety margin. So at 230V input: 100A × 0.8 = 80A usable. Then check how many amps your miner draws (listed in the miner’s specs or datasheet) and divide: 80A / amps per miner = number of miners you can safely run. Example: a NerdQaxe++ draws 70-85W at 12V. Taking the upper end, that’s roughly 7.1A per unit. 80A / 7.1A = 11 NerdQaxe++ boards with safety margin on a single PSU. Never run a PSU at its rated maximum continuously, and always make sure your wiring is rated for the current you’re pulling.
Scope of Delivery

- No accessories, cables, or breakout board included
Warnings & Safety
- This is a used/refurbished server power supply. It has been tested but may show cosmetic signs of prior use.
- A breakout board is required to use this PSU outside of an HP server chassis. This PSU does not have standard connectors. Use it with a compatible breakout board like the PSUBB or PSUBB Pruned-v1.
- Output power depends on input voltage. Full 1200W output is only available at 200-240V input. At 110-120V input, maximum output is 900W. At 100V, maximum output is 800W.
- Use an appropriate power cord rated for the load and your local mains voltage.
- This PSU contains no user-serviceable parts. Do not open the unit.
- For indoor use only.
- Use at your own risk. The seller assumes no liability for damage, injury, or loss resulting from improper use or installation.
